Sun, sea, beach and mountains

Club del Sol
On our own property is a communal heated swimming pool with a large sun terrace with sunbeds and tables and chairs. The enclosed garden has a subtropical appearance with large palm trees, a lawn and many flowers. The apartments are in a V around the communal swimming pool. In the tip of the V is a restaurant serving delicious Spanish specialties, good coffee and cocktails.

At the Bay of Pollensa: Kitesurfing and the Ironman
Club del Sol is located on Pollensa Bay, a 2-minute walk away.
​
The bay connects the cozy fishing village of Puerto (or Port) Pollensa and Alcúdia - a medieval fortified town.
At the rear of our terrace you have a beautiful panoramic view of the Tramuntana mountains.
In the village is a harbor with pleasure and fishing boats. and water sports centers is. Puerto Pollensa is also known for all cycling routes and the Ironman route.

Close to beach and village
The apartment is 2 minutes walk from the sea with a natural beach.
At about 1500 meters start de white sandy beaches with thatched umbrellas and sunbeds of the village of Puerto Pollensa.
​
There is a bus stop at de boulevard- so a 2 minute walk away. The buses go to the picturesque fishing village of Puerto Pollensa, the beautiful beach of Formentor and to the fortified town of Alcúdia. A bus comes every 15 minutes.

pollensa
Many nice trips can be made in the area by bike and car. Pollensa has a pleasant market square surrounded by plane trees, various galleries and a market on Sunday mornings where the fruit is still weighed with old-fashioned weights. It is wonderful to walk in the narrow streets towards the Calvario (365 steps up to a small church). In Pollensa is the Puig de Maria with a monastery on top that you can walk to in about 1.5 hours.
Alcudia
In the fortified town of Alcudia are several remains of Roman theaters and ruins of the ancient city of Pollentia. The city is walled with an ancient city wall that can also be climbed.

Beaches
Mallorca has 80 beaches, of which the beach of Formentor (approx. 5 km) is one of the most beautiful. Our "own" beaches of Puerto Pollensa and Malpas resemble those of the island of Bonaire with relaxed beach bars and thatched umbrellas.

Caves
The caves of Campanet (at 10 km) and those of Drach in the east of Mallorca are also nice as a day trip.
Wineries
Several vineyards can be visited around Binisalem and Santa Maria and you can taste the wine on the spot.

Mountaineering
The trip over the mountains from Pollensa to the monastery of Lluch is a beautiful car trip with beautiful views and stray herds of mountain goats. The famous rock Sa Calobra is spectacular.
The villages of Soller with the old train to the harbors Puerto Soller, artists' village Deiá and Valldemosa are also very worthwhile. Near Soller is "the most beautiful village of Mallorca: Fornalutx" with houses and terraces.

Bike rides
There are many cycling teams on Mallorca, especially in the early and late season, including those of well-known Dutch skaters who work on their fitness here every year. The mountain routes are a great climbing challenge. Cycling routes have also been set out on the flat land along all kinds of villages.

And with several restaurants within walking distance
The El Patio restaurant of the Club del Sol is open from May 1 to October 1, both during the day and in the evening. The baby monitor allows guests to eat there while the children sleep in the apartment.
Our apartment is far enough away not to be bothered by any noises from the restaurant.
​
Guests can also take advantage of the restaurants in the nearby complex. The bicycles and the football field can also be used here for a fee.
​
Next to the Club del Sol is the restaurant Cán Cuarassa within walking distance, where Spaniards come from far and wide. It is a very nice restaurant with a playground for the kids. Parents enjoy a delicious meal outside while all the children have fun together.
